Subject: appendicitis IBS adhesions
Hi I am writing as a concerned boyfriend, my girlfriend had an
appendicitis that leaked causing peritonitis. She had a laparoscopy
to remove her appendix and developed a full bowel obstruction 1
week later. She had an emergency laparotomy because of an increase
in white blood cell count and a fever. 1 week later she had a
partial small bowel obstruction. Thank God she did not require another
surgery, she was already so weak and had not eaten in 3 weeks. That
was 6 months ago, and now she has all the symptoms of Irritable bowel
syndrome. She gets distended or bloated almost everyday, and I don't
know what to do for her. I think she has adhesions in her small bowel
that sometimes constrict her bowels making her distended and irritating
her bowel. I will do ANYTHING!!! to make her better please help me.
