I am new to the board but so happy that I found it. I feel as if I am about
to
go crazy. My history is very long as well but I am at the end of my rope
and
don't know where t turn. I was told that I had endometriosis in 1998 and
had
my first surgery. Since then I have had six more surgeries including the
removal of my left ovary and tube. I was sent to a so called gyno
specialist
after my regular obgyn said that there was nothing more he could do for me,
since I was still have bad pain on my left side. Well, I went to the
specialist
and he told me there was nothing he could do to help me. But He put me on
Nerontin
which was horrible and didn't help. I tried lupron for over a year and it
did
not help I ended up having surgery right after I got off and they found more
endometriosis. Lately I have been having the most horrible pain
on my left side up under my rib cage, along with chronic pelvic pain.
sometimes it is a dull ache and others times a sharp pain and the pain can
radiate from my side down to my thigh. I also have chest pains and diarrhea
at least 4 days of th week. I haven't always had the pain under my ribcage
or the chest pain and diarrhea, it started about 1 month after my last
surgey
and keeps getting worse. I have had a CT scan, an upper Gi, ultrasound
all kinds of blood work and it shows up nothing. I have brought up the
questions about adhesions to my now doctor and he says there is nothing
anyone can do. That can't be true. I can not live each day in pain, my
family suffers just as much as I do because the pain is taking it's toll
on me. Is there anything I can do that will help? Does anyone eles had
this problem? If so how did you treat it. I don't want to have to take a
pill everyday to be pain free. I want an answer. If anyone can shed some
light
my way I would be very grateful. Thanks

Hi. I am new to the board. I will try and make this short, but you
know how it is. The question is at the bottom of the page if you want
to skip my history.........
Here is my questions (thanks for being patient):
1) How are the symptoms different between adhesions and endo?
2) Has any of you had success with surgery for either ( I keep hearing
>stories about women only feeling better for a couple of months after
>surgery)

Any advice, ideas would be so appreciated!
Thank you
