Connie, how long since his last surgery? I would ask your doctor. It very well could be adhesions. The pain from these web-like growths shows up in everyone different. God bless his heart. The first time they bothered me was 10 years after surgery. All of my surgeries before were due to fertility. Those adhesions can cause so many problems. I would let the doctors know and demand relief for your son. GodBless your family,and good luck.

I am new to this forum. Over the past 3 years, my 12-yr-old son has had 5 major abdominal surgeries (colectomy, ileostomy, gall bladder, etc.) We know he has a lot of scarring and adhesions, but these have never apparently bothered him. Recently he has been having abdominal pain that sometimes feels like a pulled muscle. Could this be adhesion pain?? Where can I find more information? Is there any treatment or recommendation for pain relief? Thanks.
