Shelia,
Hi my name is Mary and I do understand how terribly
pain can affect your life, I am a 41 mother of 2 beautiful
girls and have been going through this 4 8 years now. I
have had 17 surgeries all but 3 being for abdominal adhesions.
I too could not function and was on all kinds of narcotic
pain meds.. Right now I am in a pain and med free period
of my life, I have been here before but the pain of adhesions
always seems to return. I know how very upsetting it is to
not be able to join your kids in activities and how depressed
it makes you feel. I wanted to e-mail you to let you know that
I go to a pain management clinic when I need to and that helps
so much and they understand a lot more than a regular Doctor
so I don't know if you have a pain specialist in your area but
it really helped me.. I also want you to know there is hope,
look at me pain free for 2 months now and off all my meds,,,
but I always say for now, because with these adhesions you
just never know when they will come back,,
