Hi, I think the amount of time is different for everyone. I had a hyst and it took 6 years for it to start up for me. I had to have a lap done last October and just had to be totally opened up this past August and my bowels were stuck together and wrapped in adhesions.
Now, 4 weeks later I can see the difference and pray it lasts a long time. My ob did use adheshion barriers for me this time also. Marilyn in PA
