Annie, I don't know much about California, but I do know that there are plenty of pain specialist in your area that maybe able to help you control the pain you are in.
I live in Florida and I am currently with a pain specialist who helps me deal with the daily pain I am in. There is also a website that you can go to for more info and it is:http://www.adlap.org.
