I don't know where you are in Illinois...I am in the suburbs of Chicago. I have had adhesion disorder for 15 years now. I have worked with Dr. Charles Miller. He's a reproductive specialist, but is a fabulous surgeon who does laproscopic lysis of adhesions...his #847-593-1040.
I am also consulting with another in Evanston this week for my pending surgery involving most of my bowel. I will update you after I see him. He's affiliated with my GI docs, Michael Goldberg. I don't take pain meds unless I totally can't stand it anymore. I too lost my job, and riding out COBRA insurance right now, and have been denied disability twice. I am in my final appeal and awaiting a hearing. People are just so unaware of what we go through.
