appendectomy + adhesions = ectopic?

I had an appendectomy in 2001 at age 27. It was done surgically rather
than laproscopically. The incision became infected and I had to have it
reopened and it had to heal from the inside out. The resulting
pathology report stated that the infection attacked my appendix from the
outside and worked its way in - which is unusal for appendicitis.
Now on to 2004 - At age 30, I just recently experienced an ectopic
pregnancy where they had to remove my left fallopian tube. When the
doctor opened me up, he found I had adhesions on my ovaries, tubes,
omentum and ligaments. I never had any pain until the ectopic and never
knew I had adhesions.
My mother and her sisters were exposed to DES in the womb and my mother
ended up having a radical hysterectomy at age 32 due to ahdesions
strangling her organs. She also suffered from chronic yeast infections
growing up, so she is pretty confident her adhesions were caused from
that.
Is it possible that my adhesions were from the appendectomy? Maybe they
were caused by the mysterious infection that attacked my appendix? Are
they from my being the offspring of a DES Daughter? Or can they be
genetic? I have only had those two surgeries my entire life so I am a
little stumped as to where they could have come from. A nurse friend
has suggested I see an Infectious Disease specialist to try and pinpoint
the mystery infection that has caused the adhesions? What could he
possibly do for me? I am afraid that these adhesions are going to
interfere with the one tube I have left and create havoc for me trying
to conceive.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
