Chris,
Not all hope is lost. I understand all too well the pain
you are having. We all have. Unfortunately it sounds like
it could be adhesions again. The more surgery you have
the worst it gets, unless you find a surgeon that knows
about adhesion barriers, which can prevent adhesions from
coming back. There are several barriers out on the market
now. Adhesions.org has a list of them by Dr. Wiseman.
Dr. Wiseman also has written a letter to give to your
doctor so that he/she will understand about ARD and the
causes. There are no medical tests to give you that
will show if it is adhesions. The only true way to see
if it is adhesions is by doing a laparoscopy to look
inside. Cat Scans, MRI's, X-Rays, will not show adhesions
period. All the tests will mostly come back negative.
There are no cures at the present, but here are a
few suggestions you may want to try.
1- Seek an adhesion specialist who can help you.
Go to http://www.adlap.com to get more info on adhesion
specialist.
2- Seek a pain specialist who can help you determine
the level of pain your in and help you control it,
so that you have a more productive life.
3- Try and see what foods are triggering your pain
if any and any body movements that would cause more
pain.
4- You should consider investing in a jacuzzi for
your home. It helps a great deal and can be
beneficial to you in many ways than one.
I hope these suggestions will help you. If you
ever need to talk, I am always here to listen
and help you whenever I can.
