Re: Problems after Gallbladder Removed

I'm scheduled for the ERCP 1/21/05. According to my GI doc, who is a nationally recognized GI specialist, there is a risk of Pancreatitis but it happens in just 20% of cases. That means 80% of the time it does not occur.

I'm having the ERCP to check for sphincter of oddi dysfunction due to recurring right upper quadrant pain that has plagued me since my gallbladder was removed in 1999. If there is a problem with the sphincter the doc will perform sphincterectomy to correct it.

It seems there are many of us with the same problems!
