Kelly - are you from TX? I traveled to Fort Worth, one of the specialists (surgeon) that was recommended by IAS was there. He was extremely knowledgeable, but because my adhesions are so advanced, he referred me to a doctor in PA. I am disabled through the State of Texas and my insurance does not cover "In-network" outside the state of Texas.

I asked the specialist what the dr. in PA does and it is not anything my surgeon can not do. Make sure you talk to the doctors office, preferably a nurse to see what exactly this "specialist" does differently. It seems the doctor in PA has a surgical team, so can my doctor in Houston.

Remember, what works for some; does not work for all. Also, Adhesions are a huge problem for surgeons, if someone had the answer to adhesions, he or she would be the richest doctor out there. Nobody has the answers or cure for adhesions; if they tell you they do, I would be leery!!

Hang in there.

I try to go to a massage therapist and she works on the areas that are bad and also on my feet which are the intestinal points. I can only go so often though.
