I am so sorry you are suffering so much and feel
no one believes what you are saying. I have been
there. I work with a pain specialist and have
been for over 4 yrs and I understand fully what
you are saying. Once the medical profession sees
you have a pain specialist working with you,
they assume you are there for one purpose only
and that is to get more drugs. That is not the
case at all.
Unfortunately there are no medical tests to
confirm that the patient has adhesions, unless
the surgeon determines it neccessary to go in.
The best way to combat this problem is by going
to the adhesions.org website and print out a
copy of the letter Dr. Wiseman wrote specifically
for your doctor and any other doctors out there
that need to know this information. I know Dr.
Wiseman is doing the best he can to inform the
medical community about this debilitating disease,
but unfortunately, he is only one person and that
is an awful large task.
We all need to come together and fight for our
rights as patients. Is there a support group in
your state? You can find out at the adhesions
website too. If not in your community, then you
should think about starting up one. I am. We all
need to be there for each other here on this website
and in our own community.
There is a wonderful surgeon you can see who maybe
able to help you. One is Dr.Gerhart who's website
is: http://www.adlap.com, the other is Dr. Jay Redan who
works at celebration hospital in Celebration Florida.
His website is the picture of celebration hospital on
adhesions website too. Also you definitely need to
find a good pain specialist in your area to help
you deal with this pain until you can find a good
surgeon. I hope this will help you. If you ever
