Hi, I have a pain in the lower left quadrant of my abdomen. I had a cystic ovary removed from the left side 13 years ago. The pain comes on after countinous twisting, standing, movement etc. My skin in that area is also very sensitive when touched during the pain. I have been unable to walk at times with this pain.

An emergency room doctor told me I had diverticulitis and sent me home. I was wondering if anybody had these types of problems with their adhesions, because divierticulitis does not seem to fit except for the sensitive, painful skin during an episode.

Otherwise, I have no fever or infection just pain. How do doctors diagnose adhesions? My current doctor said I may have to go for a colonoscopy to look at my colon on that side. Any information w ould be appreciated.

Thank you, Plb
