Adhesions can cause all the things you describe. The burning in the theigh can be if they are pressing on a femoral nerve in your pelvic area. They can feel like dull aches much of the time, but then, just as you described, like something is tearing inside.
There isn't a test out there to show them. Only surgery...but only by laprascope! Open procedures produce tons more adhesions! I'd suggest consulting a surgeon for an opinion if the pain is that bad, but with your history of Chron's...perhaps pain mgmt. is best. Talk to your doc about it.
