I agree that there are other ways than just
pain management. However, I must tell you
that for me, pain management has been just
that and only that - pain management. I am
still in plenty of pain every day. The pain
has just been brought down from a 10 to about 6.
I am still very much aware of my body and all
of the changes it is going through. I don't
know how well pain management works for others,
but I'd suspect that its probably somewhat similar.
The pain medicine works to a certain degree, but
after a period of time you get adjusted to it
and no longer get the same effect.
One can't continue to take ever-increasing dosage
without causing other harmful effects, so I expect
that I'm not alone in having to limit the amount
of medicine I can take and having to live with a
lot of pain still.
Just wanted to give you another perception.
Thanks,
DT
