Olivia,
So sorry to hear you're enduring increasing pain.
I, too, have a history of endometriosis and adhesions. It seems that
you would benefit from surgery with an endo specialist to have all endo
completely and thoroughly removed. If you have your endo removed you
will have a good chance of reducing or eliminating future adhesion
formation. Endo lesions bleed in response to our menstrual cycle. The
blood released into the pelvis by the lesions is an irritant to
surrounding tissue which then causes inflammation and adhesions and
scarring to form. Many times if the source of the bleeding, the endo
implants, is removed then we do not form new adhesions. As long as you
have endo you will likely continue to grow new adhesions.
Have you considered surgery with one of the nationally known experts in
the treatment of endometriosis? I traveled across country for surgery
with Dr. Andrew Cook. You can learn more about Dr. Cook and his
treatment philosophy at his websites http://www.pelvicpain.com or
http://www.vitalcareinstitute.com Thanks to Dr. Cook I have not suffered with
endo pain in over 4 years.
Dr. Cook is also a Reproductive Endocrinologist with a lot of
experience treating infertility. He may be able to give you some
guidance in that area as well.
Please let me know if I can answer any questions.
