Yes, adhesions can cause the symtoms you are having without a doubt. Of course your bowel and uterous are in close proximity to each other and if there are adhesions they can bind the two together. I was having the same problems as you and recently underwent another lapro and the gyn removed adhesions off of my bowels. You can have so many other symtoms when the bowels/colon is involved. I was sick to my stomach, couldnt eat, etc. From what I understand, it is not uncommon for adhesions to form around the ovaries, uterous, and also the bowels. Your bowels set right behind your female organs. I wish you well and do get another opinion and try to find a doctor who is experienced with adhesions.
