I had the same surgery in March. The stints are no big deal but the
surgery is! My whole Sigmoid colon was removed along with an ovary that
was embedded into it. After the surgery, I wasn't allowed to eat for 12
days(till I had a bowel movement). Stock up on Boost w/high protein!
Drink at least 4-5 a day till you can eat solids again. Don't let the
doctor discharge you without good pain medicine either. It took me
about 6 weeks to fell good after the surgery but it was well worth it!
