Denise, You mentioned that you are looking for a dr. to help you. I am not sure what you are looking for. The best thing you can do is have them refer you to a pain management dr. who deals with adhesion pain. If you are looking for surgery, please don't go to anyone. There are a couple of adhesion specialists around but that doesn't guarantee that you won't get them back. Most of the time, surgery is not the answer. I was told that I had IBS and Crohns Disease before I had a diag. of adhesions. Kelly M

My doctor tried to say I had IBS/colitis. After I had a colonoscopy, the GI doctor found nothing wrong, so now my doctor will say (or should I say admit), that my pain IS from adhesions. There is no test for IBS, and from my experience my doctor gave me all kinds of tests to rule things out, then came up with IBS--------what about the adhesions????????
He flat out told me he won't, or can't do anything for the adhesions I have. Needless to say, I am looking for a doctor who can help me. I have also been told that IBS and endometriosis mimic each other, they have the same symptoms.
