Hello, I am like so many of you, almost at "my wits end". I have also had multiple abdominal surgeries for adhesions and also for ovarian remnant syndrome and do well for a few months afterwards as far as the pain is concerned. My last surgery was in 8/05. I started to develop pain again about six months later and the last three months have gotten a whole lot worse, making it difficult to work and function again. I too, do not know how my husband continues to put up with all my problems - the pain, huge medical bills, my grouchiness, and the lack of ability to do hardly any activities that we once enjoyed together - all due to the pain of adhesions. I've put up with it in the last few months and finally broke down and saw my GYN a few days ago who basically says that he has no idea what to do with me at this point. He recommends that I go back to the GI doc as i may have a partial obstruction (AGAIN!) or it could be a cyst that grown back that wasn't removed during the last surgery from an ovarian remnant. <sigh> Here we go again with all the doc appts. and tests! One last option he says is a referral to a pain clinic. Does anyone have any experience with them?
