I just spent the Christmas holiday in the ER with my Mom, and yes... bowel
obstruction is not something you want to hear, especially during a family
holiday. Thankfully, she was able to pass this obstruction successfully.
One thing that her surgeon suggested to possibly help prevent surgical
intervention is to drink lots and lots of clear fluids when you feel
bloated. I know this is probably not news to you, but I will say that I
would be willing to try just about anything to avoid having to put my mother
through another costly surgery. I wish you all the best. Hang in there!

Hello, I have adhesions, and have been reading your website and have made
contact with Dr. Redan. I am planning to meet him on the 8th of December
for a consultation. I live in Minnesota, and will be in Florida for a
National Chess Tournament, provided I do not end up hospitalized in St.Paul
yet again for bowel obstructions. I have spent the better part of a month
in the hospital recently, and I am still not feeling well, and am very
uncomfortable, bloating, and throwing up almost daily.
