My ideas about how to get involved:
1. Volunteer with the International Adhesions Society. Check all the skills you possess. http://www.adhesions.org/volunteer.htm
2. Write your congressperson and inquire about what's happening with Celebrex. After more than 3 years since discovering that it "dramatically" reduces adhesions in mice, there is still no human studies to be found on http://www.clinicaltrials.gov Perhaps the 1983 Orphan Drug Act can be used to provide incentives for research. (email me, I have a form letter you can use.)
3. Stand outside a teaching hospital and pass out information fliers to medical students. (email me. I designed a flier you can use.)
4. Man information booths at medical conventions. (Ask your surgeon or pschiatrist which conventions they recommend attending and then post dates and times. Some of us may want to help.)
5. Try to influence television producers to do episodes. Possible shows include House, Discovery Miracle Medical, ER, etc. (not sure how)
6. Make and distribute a t-shirt. (not sure how)
