I, too, have felt defeated in the face of doctors who refuse to treat me. It feels like a dead-end and very frustrating.

It helps me to remember that doctors sometimes have good reasons for not doing things. Sometimes their treatments can make a problem worse. They are not guaranteed successful.

I'm living okay. It's bad, but it's livable. It's not the life I would have chosen, but like a reed, I can bend and not break.

Go ahead and keep trying to find a doctor who treats you seriously and answers your questions, and keep coming back to this forum. I think we patients sometimes have a better perspective on this disease than many surgeons, who are narrowly focused on "procedures." They get in, get out, and if they can't solve the problem, they move on. It's very decisive behavior that sortof leaves me in a lurch, going, "what just happened?"
