have had a total hysterectomy, with adhesions and still experience pain during intercourse.  We have tried everything to help but so far nothing does.  My recommendation is that you are relaxed, not rushed and interested.  Also, lubrication is a must, a caring partner and creativity.

HI everyone,

I am thankful for all the supportive messages, it saddens me to hear so many others are experincing pain with adhesions as well, yet comforting to have people to relate to on this subject!

My question that may or may not relate to adhesions is - can adhesions cause intercourse to be painful?

I have read some on the message board with patients having adhesions on ovaries/uterus...but since I have had a hysterectomy and left with only one ovary ...  I was wondering if in my case an adhesion could still possibly cause intercourse to be painful?

Any relationg articles or comments would be helpful on this subject!
