<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"> YES!  I heard someone else on here complaining of looking like they were 8 months pregnant and I have had weird abdominal swellings in the past.  Mine were fluid build up but they weren't as large as a football, I also have had my intestines do some truly weird maneuvering and had my large bowel wrap around my stomach which caused some bloating that I could move around... It looked like i had eaten one of those old troll dolls...not a good look.
Is it tender when you touch it?  Mine weren't, just kinda "squooshy", like an old fashioned water bottled under a blanket.
You could check with your regular doctor if it worries you and keep an eye on your temperature.  You might try a bath with bath salts or a cold compress.  If you're scared, the E.R. is always an option!

My abdomen has been swelling for the last 2 months and it's really
weird. When I lean back, I can see "something" football-shaped kind of
slide back and then I lean forward and it "plops" back forward. If I
lean sideways, it sticks out. Very strange. It's firm but not hard.
Can adhesions cause something like this? I still have my uterus. Doesn't
that sit at the front of the abdominal wall down there?

I have an appt. with my GYN but not for 2 more weeks as he is out of
town.

Oh, and it's not that I need a good bowel movement either. lol! It's
there even AFTER I go.
