I have had adhesions for nine years. I think the situation is different here in the UK. I applied for Disability Living Allowance because of this disability and whether they understand the condition and the ramifications of it better or not I don't know. I was awarded the benefit immediately without question and no medical examination. They just contacted my family doctor and my hospital consultant to verify that what I was saying was the truth.
