Hi Linda! His name is Dr. Eric Johnson. He's in Minneapolis, MN.He is with Surgical Specialists of Minnesota. I asked him prior to the surgery about using any type of barrier to prevent them from returning. He said he sometimes uses them and sometimes doesn't, dependent on the type of adhesion, location, etc. He said using them can present another set of difficulties. He said he would use a barrier if i wanted him to. I told him that I would leave it to his discretion. In my case, he didn't use anything. I don't have his stats, but I know that he's done it successfully many times. His former partner and friend is the one who referred me to him. (This doctor went on to specialize in vascular surgery) I also spoke to a well known pancreatic specialist about him as well as my GI doctor and my PC doctor before surgery. He comes highly recommended. He is very compassionate as well as being a skilled surgeon! I know exactly what you mean about quality of life and being at the end of your rope. That's wherer I was at!

Take care,

>Who was your surgeon and where is he located? Also, did he use Sprayshield to prevent adhesions from returning? Do you know the stats of successful adhesion surgeries by this doctor? I'm looking at having surgery again if I can find a surgeon who has a good track record with removing these painful adhesions and preventing them from returning. I'm at the end of my rope. I'm so tired of not having a quality life!
