Kris, I have had an EUS and it didn't show pancreas divisum so I'm
guessing I don't have that. I had pancreatitis about 3 times before the
doc went in and put a stent in. Yes, I got pancreatitis from that
procedure and again, 6 weeks later when he took the stent out. I don't
think I benefited much from that stent other than to say that I was able
to eat again. I guess my bile ducts were closing up or something and
maybe the stent helped with that? Dunno' for sure.
Now I worry about things like Primary Billiary Cholangitis (sp) and bile
duct cancer and stuff like that. I just recently had a US that showed
"focal abnormalities" of my liver and ER doc said that usually means
"tissue changes" and that I need to see a Hepatologist ASAP. I'm trying
to arrange that but my local GI is a jackass!
I would give just about anything to have SOME answers to all of this.
