I just wanted to tell you that I have had an Internist, 1 G.I. doc and my P.C. all tell me that high fiber is a bad idea if you have intestinal adhesions. I'm not saying that information is true for everyone but I know that it was true for me. My bowel movements were soooo much more painful when I was eating 20-25 grams of fiber a day. Everything would get "hung up" and then just stop for 3-4 days.

Also, the soy? Be very careful with that. I used to eat and drink soy products all the time and no doctor ever noticed the lumps growing in my thyroid. It got so bad that I had to have it completely removed 4 years ago. I am now on synthetic thyroid and it makes me feel awful. That on top of the adhesion issues is almost more than I can bear some days.

My endocrinologist at the Mayo Clinic believes that my use of Soy contributed to my thyroid problems.

Just be safe is all I am suggesting.
