I consulted with a general surgeon here in Jacksonville, FL. He said he
wouldn't operate on me because of my experience with adhesions returning.
He said he hasn't heard of "Sprayshield" of anything that is used to prevent
adhesions from returning. He referred me to a Pain Specialist. I would
think that all doctors who perform surgery would know about the latest and
most advanced products used or coming on the market soon. I found a website
for a Dr. Cook at Vital Health Institute in California. He is performing
adhesion surgery laparoscopically with a high success rate (70 percent). I
wrote him yesterday and received a call from his staff today. Since it
wouldn't be possible for me to go to California, she referred me to two
websites for doctors who are member of the Academy for Advanced (AAGL) and
doctors who perform minimally invasive surgery. When I get the websites,
I'll forward them to adhesions@adhesions.org. I would love to find a doctor
like Dr. Cook who is located close to Jacksonville, FL or at least on the
East Coast. If anyone knows a doctor like him, please let me know. Thanks
