Hi Linda, Thanks for letting me know my posts are getting through and heard. I have not had the implant done, nor have I heard of it until a couple of weeks ago on here.

I am on a trial of Lyrica, a nerve killer, and it's doing a fair job of killing the referral pain from my back. I definitely need to keep on it, or never miss a dose, or I am right back where I started. I'm on close to the maximum dose but still I find if I do miss a dose or two, it's harder to get back to a pain free place again. I do intend to contact Dr. Catherine Allaire here in Vancouver who was referred to me by the woman following. I really want to get to the bottom of this and find out what exactly causes this pain and eliminate it completely!.

Where this all came from was a post to me indicating I should contact Dr. Deborah Metzger http://www.harmonywomenshealth.com At this website I was recommended to start with a nerve killer to see if something can be eliminated. I believe what they look for is a rare hernia. I tried it anyway and although quite expensive (over $200 Canadian per month) it's worth it for the relief. I just hate being on pills, pills, pills.

So many of us on quests for pain relief, for doctor acknowledgement, for solutions. Imagine all the energy, effort, heartache, and heartbreak.......why not a cure??? Regards, Donna

Hello Donna,

Have you had the Spinal Cord Stimulator implanted in your hip? A Chiropractor once told me he believed the pain I have is in fact coming from

my back where all the nerve endings are located. If there are people on this site who have the Spinal Cord Stimulator and it is helpng with the pain, please, please, let me know!

So Donna, are you using Lyrical (sp?), Lyrica? If so, is it helping your nerve pain? I used it once and I didn't find that it helped but instead it gave me hot and cold feeling and I couldn't sleep. I'm using Neurontin but it makes me drowsy and doesn't help much anymore.

Linda
