Yes with Duragesic (Fentanyl) at close to $500.. a month the patches should stick but I found they often don't and for Me that is when Pain Control was worse... So My doctor and I worked out the Mefix.. as I have Severe allergies to MANY Adhesive Products... So then I went to my (friend) who is a Pharmacist.. Who said it was Not a Big deal and orders Me a Roll of it every 3-4 months.. it is 4 inches wide and cost around $10.... for a good sized roll... it does breathe and it one of the few adhesives I don't react to.. Can be bought in Home health care stores.. (at least here in Canada..) I have been doing this for 6 years... (I have been up as high on 125 mcg Duragesic and I am currently down to just a 50 patch . . Needed to cut it back as I went to a Sleep Clinic and was told I have Sleep Apnea, partially caused by the patch.. and partially not... I am waiting for my CPAP machine to help with the fact I stop breathing every 2 minutes when I try to sleep... (Scary when you live alone..) and I get no quality sleep.... Hope this helps.... I'd never heard of Mefix tape so I looked it up. It allows air to flow through it which is good. The manufacturer needs to make Fentanyl Patches that stick without having to use anything. They sure cost enough.
