Hi Fern,

I have had surgery with Dr. Redan twice now and will be having surgery again in two days. The first surgery was nearly 4 years ago for adhesions, he is a wonderful surgeon. I had no problems with return of pain from adhesions after that surgery. I know he uses Seprafilm as his barrier method for adhesions. I have had to have a subtotal colectomy, ileostomy and now my reversal of ileostomy is scheduled for Thursday of this week with Dr. Redan. Due to all the previous surgeries I had during my lifetime, which is around 12 open ones on my abdomen, my colon stopped working all together and had to come out. I would not have had any other surgeon do this, I trust him more than any other surgeon I have ever had. He is awesome, and he is very nice too. I will let you know how my reversal turns out, as I believe some adhesions have reformed since the colectomy due to it being an open surgery. Good luck to you. Email me if you have any questions.
