I have had 7 belly surgeries over the years ranging from perforated colon,
two colostomies, two colonostomy reversals and 2 bowel obstructions. I've
had a gangreenious gallbladder surgery and also a vaginal bladder repair.
Recently I've been walking and canvassing neighborhoods door to door (lots
more exercise than normal for me.) I am experiencing lots of discomfort and
pain in my lower back and belly and I am certain it is due to adhesions. The
stinging pain is so servere it is terrifying! After my surgery in 1999 my
surgeon told me he spent 2 hours removing adhesions before he could begin to
address the obstruction. I've had 5 belly surgeries since so I am very
alarmed as to what is down the road for me. Adhesions are very very
painful!!
