Hi Cheryl, yes I too have this problem and also severe gastroparesis. I take xifaxan at varying doses when I Feel that the bacteria is bad. You will get to a point where you will know the symptoms and know to take it if it would be what your gastro prescribes. For me, it doesn't take away all of the gas, nausea and distention but it does help. Good luck! Dawn

Just saw a new GI specialist who gave a possible diagnosis of small intestinal bacteria over growth from intestinal adhesions.Any one else diagnosed with this? The test to confirm this diagnosis is a breathe test. Well, what other problems has these little monsters caused?
