Re: Constant back pain, bowel issues

I have severe adhesions on my small bowel from multiple surgeries. I go to pain management and just deal with the pain as most all of us have to. There is no magic pill, but by dealing with the pain through pain management, meds, and exercise when possible, I have learned how to live with this horrible pain. I have hip pain (sciatica) and lower back pain and I just do exactly what I have learned to do in physical therapy and pain management. I was referred by the pain clinic to physical therapy and I have been following their plan for over a year. I do have a gastro who takes care of me and I follow a low fiber diet and have to have liquids only when feeling really bad on several days each month. This disease has caused me to quit my career and I am on full disability now. It is just really too bad that the medical community does not understand just how terrible our pain is. I don't get alot of sympathy from the medical community, however, I have read what other people do on this forum and I have used the support from this website to know I am not alone. Hope you find some relief soon and will share any new ideas with us on the website.
