Hi! I'm new to this list and did not see the original posting but there is at least some research going on. I just had surgery on the 17th and while I haven't gotten the full report from the doctor, the clinical trials nurse said I had a lot of adhesions (mostly from endometriosis, I'm assuming.) Suspecting this going on, I agreed to take part in a clinical trial of a new adhesion prevention gel called intergel (formerly called lubricoat). And it is my understanding that there are a couple of other trials going on for similar material. The doctor who operated said that he had had good luck with this so far and so I was happy to find out after surgery that I did get the gel and not the placebo (in this case, salt water). I will go back and have another "look and see" laparoscopy to see how it worked in 6-12 weeks. The next time I talk to the nurse, I will see if she has an idea of when this might be on the market, assuming it proves successful and is approved.
