MRI

Hi Everyone:

Well, the MRI over and it was as awful as I was prepared for! The confinement wasn't too bad, I kept my eyes closed for the most part, taking a peek now and then. Lying on the table wasn't too bad either-it was softer than an xray table and she put foam wedges under my knees and elbows. She gave me earphones. The only problem was that I couldn't hear the tapes! The noise was tremendous. First the jack hammer, then the machine gun. It was done in 5 and 10 minute increments, which was better than the 30 minutes straight. When I got out I could hardly walk. I'm still weak and shaky, don't know if that was from the valium or the stress. Next time I think I would take the 10mg valium. I had a real hard time controlling my breathing. The noise was so scary! I'm going to take my other valium right now and go to bed.

She didn't offer to tell me anything other than "You're all set now!" but to tell you the truth, I felt so awful all I wanted to do was get out of there fast.

Talk to you later,

Chrsi S.
