Thanks for all the responses on Pain Clinics

Hi, Chris, let me know how it goes. Certainly, there needs to be an "evaluation" of pain first. When I hear about nerve blocks, I get scared. However, I'm in total control of what takes place to this body.

I asked to go to a pain clinic because I am interested in biofeedback and TENs units. But, the GP sent me to a pain clinic that is run by Anesthesiologists...many of them are.

The GP has watched me over the last several years, and after reading my last surgical report, recommended an anesthesiology pain clinic so I have options.

He said it was "a noble thing that some Anesthesiologists had chosen dealing with people in pain as a career, believing that people should have quality of life..."

I thought that was positive. I'm not at a place with my adhesions that would require heavy meds, but some days a light-weight one I would take. For this reason, I was thought to be a good candidate...that and my attitude and open mind.

Thanks so much for all the responses.--Michele
