Pain Clinic

I had my second visit at the pain clinic this week. The first visit they did acupuncture which didn't do anything.

This time they gave me a whole bunch of shots with something like novacaine, into the abdominal wall. But the pain is deeper then the abdominal wall, so it didn't help either. In fact, it made it worse. I was having pain in my back, so he also gave me shots in the back. It was awful. It made the pain worse and I have been in pain all week. He said there was nothing else he could do, so go back to the surgeon. I have had to switch primary care doctors because of insurance and I see the new one today. I hope he doesn't push me off like so many do. When I tell doctors I 'read' something about this or that, their usual attitude is 'You read too much. I'm the doctor, trust me'. I hate that.
