I would like to report that I have had excellent results with the drug Celebrex, as far as pain relief is concerned. I have taken it 2 days. This is NOT placebo effect! The pain is not completely gone, but about 75 % of it is, and now I am able to concentrate on the quality, location of the pain that remains. This is very hard to do if you have more than one problem, or different pain from one problem, and everything is all muddied together. Celebrex is one of the new nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories that does not irritate the gi tract, or irritates it less. So those who have not been able to use NSAIDS at a therapeutic level becuase of gi irritation should look into this. My doctor told me Vioxx is similar. I was taking 1800 mg ibuprofen three times a day which "helped" but not the way celebrex seems to be helping. I also hated the three doses a day. Celebrex is once a day, or twice with a lower dosage.
