Meg, when they did my last surgery 9 years ago, they did use an adhesion barrier! I can't say I've been pain free since, and I am looking at surgery for a bowel obstruction now, but I did go 9 years without surgery and always prior to that it had only been two years or less! Just thought I'd let you know!! >>
