I'm sorry to hear about your dogs. I have four. All goldens. I ended up with that many because I did some breeding (dogs, not me) and couldn't stand to sell all of them and ended up with one from each litter. Needless to say, I don't breed them anymore. I have allergies as well, but to cats and dust (which I will never get rid of) but fortunately not dogs. The loss of a pet can be devastating. They can be such a comfort especially for those of us who suffer with chronic pain. I hope the allergy shots work well enought that you can at least postpone more surgery. I don't think of your post as a blatant cry for pity but a normal response. I threw a pity party myself not too long ago but everyone here was so supportive and no one was critical. I think we all can understand what you are going through to an extent and I hope by reading the posts that you can find some comfort. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Ginny
