Cyn,

Hello, I had 2 laparotomies and laparascopy in 5 month period last year, and the gyn said that was alot of surgery, he said they are readyto operate again on me, but after the surgery last year the last one, it was longer andterribly painful recovery, and a longer stay each time they operate.

All I know is that I would question him alot, first of all that is alot of surgery and if they were all laparotomies, the gyn that did all y surgery last year said the insides need time to heal after any surgery, and after the last one in sept I asked him if he could do a lap, but now that they cannot get in that way I ave to be patient to wait for hopwfully a new barrier. Cyn, the more they do to you the worse the adhesions are getting!

When he gyn di my first surgery in apr. 98 he was going to go in and do a lap, but he had to convert right away he could not find the bowels, and he was going to take the last ovary out. After coverting to laparotmy, the pain was WRSE after that surgery. He ried to do a lap within 4 months, and the drs could not get in, they all said that the pelvis was covered even worse than things were in april. It had only been 4 mMONTHS! Now that was not the last surgery, and I was in so much pain last sept. I could not wait to go in and do the laparotomy again to lyse adhesions, and wrap the bowels or pelvic area with Inerceed. ' When he went in the gyn said the transverse colon the one that is supposed to run all across the navel area was stuck down to the pelvic floor, and it was smothering the small intestines. The adhesions were over an inch thick, and were all over the small owles too. I am now so afraid to hae anything done now, [lease be sure you know that things could get alot worse. Did they or are they going to use a barrier, and do your dr know there may be some new soon? I am sorry sosloppy, but I never jave the time to sit anyore. I have been staying busy, if I can hep yn you can email me personally/
