Hi, I'm not sure if it's an obstruction or not, I am told those cause vomiting, pain, fevers, etc. I have went to the ER for symptoms like yours and no BM for 10 days and was just told I was constipated. I'm not convinced I wasn't partially obstructed and it just didn't show up on the test they did (or it did show up and the radiologist read them wrong because after 10 days my upper intestines were full but nothing has passed into my lower intestines!).

I too have had severe stomach pain and nausea (since my surgery 2 months ago) every time I eat. I have a prescription for pepcid, 40 mg. once day. It helps some but not all. I was scheduled for an upper GI because they suspect an ulcer from this stomach pain, but the upper GI had to be cancelled because of my constipation (the barium to drink would have made my situation worse).

So I can't even get an upper GI to Dx & treat a suspected ulcer until the bowel stuff gets fixed. It's like a catch 22. Gina
