I just had this procedure done a few weeks ago by my pain therapist. It
was called a Superior Hypogastric Plexus. It was done with two needles
in my lower back, similar to an epidural. I was awake, but sedated and
it was fairly painless. The bad news is, it didn't work at all. As
soon as the local wore off I was in terrible pain again. I was so
disappointed. My doctor wants me to try it one more time. I am
scheduled again for next friday-feb. 25. I'll keep you posted.
