Thanks for your post, I had to take the enema, and it did help. My drs. are not the kind of drs, and I find it hard to believe, that do not think laxatives are going to hurt me. They said it will damage the nerves in the bowel making you dependant on them, and to tell you thetruth, I am only 45 and do not want to have to do this the rest of my life, I am too young. Grandother had trouble like that, but sh was in her 80's. God love her.

I did call the GI dr and he is going to send something called Mira=lax. He said it is safer to take everyday.

My drs do not worry about obstruction, but I always will, after it all bowel obstructions killed two my family members. And my sister and son both have crohn's disease, so bowel is a nasty word in our family.

But the trouble with me is th scar tissue, the dr was shocked when he went in again after four months, they were already very dense, and extensive, and all over the large and small bowel. It had pulled transversr colon on to the small bowel, and they were both stuck to the pelvic floor. The dr said the barium enema would show if there is a blockage, or any narrowing of the bowel. I have to get it done!
