Dear Sherry Marie I too have had these symptoms and I had put it all down to adhesions.Well some of it was adhesions but also when they did a defecagram they could see that the large bowel was not moving so therefore the faeces builds up inside you until pressure blows it out if you are lucky and it has not cemented in your colon. It took 15 litres of glycoprep(a bowel cleanser and very potent)over a period of three days to remove only a portion of the bulk.It is very painful I know and you should not take metamusil if it is like that as it is a bulking agent and can cause severe pain on its own.You are better taking pear or prune juice as they dont bulk you up.Love always Robyne
