Have you had any tests to show that your positive that you have gall stones? Gallstones can be seen on an u/s test. The only thing that I can tell you about the pain is from what I experienced myself. It was like a "cramping" sensation that would start in the right side of the middle of my back (right where the kidney is) and it would radiate all the way around my side over to the front. I was having these types of pains about two nights before I actually went to the ER room, and when the doctor pushed on my abdomen I went straight through the roof. If you have gall stones to the point where it is hurting you or is that bothersome then i'd defintley have that treated before you do any other types of surgery. The gall bladder can become very infected if it is left untreated...like mine did. The surgeon removed mine laproscopically I was discharged to go home the next day. But I was in the hospital on a PCA pump a week before the surgery actually took place and I was very sick, they had me on a liquid diet and I would vomit...and if I didn't vomit then I was very nauseated. My advice to you is to go see your MD and have this looked into. You do not want to get an infected gall bladder the pain will get worse if you let it go.
