I have had that procedure done in the x-ray dept at my hospital. I had a tube put down my esophogus after they numbed my throat. It was a bit uncomfortable. I had to move in different positions, standing, sitting, and laying down for them to see my intestines. It took a couple of hours. It was considered outpatient and I went home right after it was done and I was fine. Unfortunately, they didn't find anything abnormal.
